| Red-backed Shrike The Naze, Essex, 2nd June 2006 |
| Its always worth an effort to see adult male Red-backed Shrikes, so this individual at the Naze was very tempting. Thankfully it turned out to be a very tame and obliging individual, often allowing birders to approach to within 10 metres. I managed some pleasing images during my three hour stay with the bird, a small selection of which are shown here.
